Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.   
 
We are now hiring a Full-Time Job Developer in Tucson, AZ. The Job Developer is responsible for identifying and developing job opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person will network with businesses, market programs, and coordinate job resources.
 
Starting Pay:  $18.00 per hour
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop professional relationships with businesses and job placement agencies to promote employment options for individuals with disabilities
  • Network with potential employers to understand staffing needs and market the benefits of using our employment support services
  • Research job postings to identify potential job developer opportunities
  • Refer qualified applicants to employers and follow up as needed to assist with job placements
  • Participate in community events that promote job development, such as local job fairs
  • Participate in community outreach and recruitment activities
  • Assist individuals with assessing their job skills and matching them to desired positions
  • Support individuals through the employment process, including developing a resume, applying to jobs, and interviewing with potential employers
  • Follow up with employers to track an individual’s employment progress and report the results
  • Prepare reports related to placement activities
  • Keep updated on current trends and maintain updated labor market information by researching web sites, attending meetings, and maintaining contacts with trade schools/organizations involved in job placement/training activities
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Relevant experience with job placement in either private or public agencies
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Knowledge of effective procedures in identifying and securing training sites for individuals
  • Proficient in utilizing a variety of job posting sites and social media platforms
  • Comfortable cold calling and networking job development activities
  • Ability to work individually and with a team to support individuals with IDD
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
