Regional Director of Development

Description

• Partner with the Community Options’ executive management team in support of the organization’s business plans and objectives
• Develop and strengthen relationships with individuals, corporations, government agencies, and foundations
• Expand Community Options’ New Jersey affordable housing program
• Recruit members for Community Options Business Advisory Councils (COBACs) and identify potential Board members
• Educate and engage key volunteers (COBAC members) in mission advancement
• Collaborate with the Development Department to market annual 5K, gala, and other fundraising efforts
• Attend and represent organization at internal and external events
• Work in tandem with state, regional, executive, associate, managing, and other directors to coordinate outreach activities

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field, a Master’s degree is a plus
• Minimum five years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated project management, organization, and prioritization skills
• Experience motivating and collaborating successfully with volunteers
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Commitment to and knowledge of community-based support for persons with disabilities
• Knowledge of marketing/sales fundamentals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and trade-specific software
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public
• Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a team
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
