Community Options, Inc.is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
We are seeking a Director of Community Services to lead and manage our Tennessee development! The Director of Community Services is responsible for developing and managing in-home supports, residential services, and community-based services. This person will maintain high-quality programs in accordance with state and local regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop new programs including in-home supports, family model, host homes, and community based services, and liaison with managed care organizations
Lead and train teams to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Assess referrals for adults and children requiring supports and coordinate program admissions
Oversee daily operations of in-home supports, residential services, and community-based services
Liaison with referral sources to identify program placement opportunities
Ensure programs are in compliance with state licensing and reporting standards
Assist with quality assurance and program improvement activities with a focus on improving current policies, practices, and procedures
Provide training on programs, policies, and procedures to improve service delivery
Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or behavioral health
Experience working with behavior challenged children and adults
Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
