Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. 
We are seeking a Director of Community Services to lead and manage our  Tennessee development! The Director of Community Services is responsible for developing and managing in-home supports,
residential services, and community-based services. This person will maintain high-quality programs in
accordance with state and local regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Develop new programs including in-home supports, family model, host homes, and community based services, and liaison with managed care organizations
  • Lead and train teams to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique
    needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assess referrals for adults and children requiring supports and coordinate program admissions
  • Oversee daily operations of in-home supports, residential services, and community-based
    services
  • Liaison with referral sources to identify program placement opportunities
  • Ensure programs are in compliance with state licensing and reporting standards
  • Assist with quality assurance and program improvement activities with a focus on improving
    current policies, practices, and procedures
  • Provide training on programs, policies, and procedures to improve service delivery
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
  • Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or
    investigation

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or behavioral health
  • Experience working with behavior challenged children and adults
  • Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background,
    central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
