Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.  
 
We are now hiring a Licensed Clinician in Nashua, NH. The Licensed Clinician uses best practices and technologies within a community setting to assist youth with acquiring, retaining, improving, and generalizing the behavioral, self-help, socialization, relational, and communication skills needed to enhance relationships, increase independence, and functioning. The Licensed Clinician is part of a team that assists children and youth and their families through crises to success.
 
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between the program and the family
  • Provide family therapy with the family of origin or natural supports with regularity so that the family is aware of their child’s ongoing treatment and challenges. They will also interact with the family and the CFT during the referral and admission process
  • Complete a Biopsychosocial (BPS) assessment and other assessments as needed and report within the first week of admission
  • Complete IMDS SNA updates within the first 24 hours and as needed in
    conjunction/coordination with CFT
  • Develop a comprehensive individualized treatment and transition plan (within the first week, and update as required)
  • Provide individual therapy as indicated in the youth treatment plan
  • Attend and facilitate treatment team meetings
  • Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field and a license to practice independently in NH, including LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, Ph.D.
  • Minimum of one year experience working with youth and family systems
  • Minimum of one year experience working with people who have IDD and mental health and/or challenging behavioral needs
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports 
  • Demonstrated understanding and use of evidence-based practices
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and graph data
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form

Working Conditions

  • Required to share on-call coverage responsibilities with other clinicians to ensure around the clock crisis responses
  • Dedicate 75% of each clinical hour to face-to face interaction with youth in individual, group, and family therapy
  • Work will take place in the office, community, and in the youth’s home
  • Travel throughout assigned regions
  • May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases
