This Director of Community Services is responsible for developing and managing in- home supports, residential services, community-based services,. This person will maintain high-quality programs in accordance with state and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
Develop new programs including in - home supports, family model, host homes, and community based services, and liaison with managed care organizations
Lead and train teams to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Assess referrals for nonresidential services.
Develop new in-home supports, family model, host homes, and community-based services.
Oversee daily operations of in-home supports, residential group homes and community- based services.
Liaison with referral sources to identify program placement opportunities
Ensure programs are in compliance with state licensing and reporting standards
Assist with quality assurance and program improvement activities with a focus on improving current policies, practices, and procedures.
Provide training on programs, policies, and procedures to improve service delivery
Assist with recruitment, hiring, and performance management.
Assist with monitoring and managing overtime
Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
Masters Degree Preferred
Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or behavioral health
Experience working with behavior challenged children and adults
Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
Ability to exercise good judgement and remain calm in crisis situations
