Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are seeking a Fiscal Liaison in Ogden, UT. The Fiscal Liaison is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the assigned region. This person will ensure staff are trained in the appropriate use and documentation of finances for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities.

Starting Pay Rate: $40,000/annually

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct monthly audits analyzing individual funds and petty cash funds
  • Maintain financial information and expenditures for each location including the use of petty 
    cash, gas, and grocery card accounts
  • Provide training on the finances of individuals in our care, including proper safeguarding of 
    funds, appropriate expenditures, and required documentation
  • Ensure that onboarding and annual documentation of training is maintained in staff records
  • Collect and document expenditure receipts for all locations in a timely manner
  • Submit receipts and expenditure reports monthly to the National office
  • Maintain information for all vehicles including registrations and vehicle maintenance records
  • Review and processes vehicle maintenance requests and maintain records
  • Process PNA invoices, forward to representative payees, and maintain documentation
  • Audit relevant accounts when an employee with financial responsibility terminates 
    employment
  • Troubleshoot issues pertaining to accounts payable, petty cash, and cash disbursements
  • Provide technical assistance to the local offices related to budgetary matters
  • Perform investigations in special circumstances
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
  • Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or 
    investigation
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, 
    central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with three years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
  • Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
  • Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving 
    supports
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Working Conditions 

  • May be required to utilize own vehicle or company provided vehicles
  • Extensive travel throughout the region
